Ingredients:
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 4 slices thick-cut bacon
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 6 cups chopped romaine or green leaf lettuce
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 large avocado, diced
- 1/2 cup dill pickles, sliced
- 1/2 cup avocado oil mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp mustard powder
Instructions:
- Fry the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until the fat has rendered and the edges are crispy. Remove the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate, keeping about 1 tbsp of the bacon fat in the pan.
- Increase heat to medium-high. Add the ground beef, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Press the beef down with a spatula and leave undisturbed for 3-4 minutes until a deep brown crust forms. Break into chunks and cook until no longer pink.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the avocado oil mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, and mustard powder until smooth.
- Divide the chopped lettuce among four bowls. Arrange the tomatoes, sliced red onions, pickles, and diced avocado in sections on top of the greens.
- Spoon the hot, seared beef into the center of each bowl, top with crumbled bacon, and drizzle with the burger sauce.
