Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lb mixed heirloom tomatoes
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella pearls
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 tsp flaky sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp aged balsamic vinegar
  • 1 small clove garlic, finely grated
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 pinch dried oregano

Instructions:

  1. Cut the heirloom tomatoes into varying thicknesses, including thick rounds and wedges, to create visual interest. Pat the sliced mozzarella dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  2. In a small jar or bowl, combine the extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, grated garlic, lemon juice, and dried oregano. Whisk vigorously or shake the jar until the mixture is opaque and thickened.
  3. Arrange the tomato slices in an overlapping circular pattern on a platter. Tuck the mozzarella pearls or torn burrata between the tomato gaps.
  4. Scatter the fresh basil leaves liberally across the top. Drizzle the savory dressing evenly over the entire plate and finish with a sprinkle of flaky sea salt and cracked pepper.
