Ingredients:
- 2 medium firm-ripe bananas (approx. 12 oz / 340g)
- 2 tbsp (25g) brown sugar, packed
- 1 tbsp (14g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 tsp (1g) ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch (0.5g) sea salt
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Peel the bananas and slice them lengthwise down the center, but do not cut all the way through—leave them hinged so they open like a book. Place them cut-side up in the baking dish.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt until it forms a thick, gritty paste. Spread the mixture evenly across the exposed flesh of the bananas, ensuring the edges are well-coated to encourage browning.
- Slide the dish into the center rack of the oven. Bake for 15–20 minutes until the sugar is bubbling around the edges and the banana has shifted to a deep, golden mahogany color.
