Ingredients:

  • 2 oz vodka
  • 0.5 oz triple sec
  • 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 lemon wedge

Instructions:

  1. Run the lemon wedge around the outer rim of a chilled martini or coupe glass to create a thin moisture seal.
  2. Invert the glass and press the rim firmly into the granulated sugar, then tap gently to remove excess granules.
  3. Combine the vodka, triple sec, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker.
  4. Fill the shaker to the brim with large ice cubes and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels frosty.
  5. Double strain the mixture into the prepared sugar-rimmed glass.
  6. Garnish with a thin lemon wheel or a twist.
